The pep rally was a great way to get students in the mood to cheer for the basketball game. There were multiple games that students from all grades could participate in. The event started with a karaoke competition between each grade.Games were played that involved basketballs. For one, students had to try and get as many points as they could before the other team finished. Another game required different grades to see who could get a basket before the other team.Lastly, there was a performance by the cheerleaders to the school song, performed by Mt. Vernon’s Pep Band. The basketball team huddled together and hyped everyone up. People left with school spirit.
