The Game Awards 2022

The Game Awards 2022 was held the night of Thursday, December 8th at the Los Angeles Microsoft Theater.  There were lots of announcements and awards to give out. There were orchestras playing music from games and even an intruder at the end. The 2022 Game Awards held their eighth get-together and will continue from this point on.

There were many awards like the best music, best indie game, best game design, and many more.  The most anticipated award was the game of the year. The nominees for the Game of the Year award were: “Stray,” “Xenoblade Chronicles 3,” “A Plague Tale: Requiem,” “Elden Ring,” “Horizon Forbidden West,” and “God of War Ragnarök.” All these games had lots of votes, with several winning awards outside of this nomination, but the winner of the game awards was “Elden Ring.”

After it was all said and done, there was also another surprise at the end. As the “Elden Ring” crew was taking their awards, some random kid, later to be revealed as Jason Schreier, interrupted this moment of accomplishment. He went on to prank the whole Game Awards by saying,

“I think I want to nominate this award to my reformed orthodox rabbi, Bill Clinton. Thank you, everybody.”

A lot of people were confused about what he actually said at first but, he turned out to be a Jewish prankster who just walked on stage.

This was an interesting Game Awards, to say the least, but fans of gaming around the world await the next one in 2023.
