Evan Rappe is a senior leader this year on the track team. He hopes to set an example of being a good leader and to ensure that his new teammates know what they are doing.

This year was different for Rappe, as it was for everyone. “It can be challenging sometimes to stay motivated,” he said, “but I remind myself that this is the last chance I have to run track so that is what keeps me motivated.”

As his last year is closing, he realized that his coach has impacted him the most. Coach Kendall has been his coach for both cross country and track. “He is pretty crazy, but he has coached me in not only track and cross country but in life,” Rappe said.

Over his four years, Evan Rappe’s favorite memory has been watching the football and basketball games with his friends from the students section. After high school he plans to study Biology at Indiana University then go to medical school for family medicine. Before he is gone, though, he wants to leave underclassmen with the advice: “Be more grateful because nothing is guaranteed.”
