Staying Healthy

Hey Marauders! This article was made with the help of some of our instagram followers @mvcurrentnewspaper. After results for a poll, students at MV agreed with each other about trying to stay healthy in quarantine.

Some things Marauders said are that they were going on walks or bike rides. Others were working out in their living rooms by either playing Just Dance, or following workout routines celebrities are posting online. None of them mentioned activities that would require them to interact with others.

An important thing to keep in mind during this time is to keep mental health up, not just physical health. This can be done by reading new books, doing puzzles, creating art, or calling friends and family. Being alone lowers people’s mental state, and not doing anything to keep busy lowers it more.

During this pandemic, self care is important to practice. A lot of people are alone with their thoughts, which isn’t always a good thing.

According to the CDC, everyone reacts to stress differently. A good way to handle this stress is to “take care of your body” and take a break from “watching, reading, or listening” to news. The CDC suggests to “try to eat healthy, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.”
