The roster for boy’s varsity soccer has been set and their season has begun. There are 11 seniors this season and many games to play. The seniors are ready to show what they can do.

“I think the team has improved a lot as we have been practicing and putting in a lot of hours this whole summer to be prepared for season this year,” said Anthony Wallace, 12.

The returning senior soccer players are looking to make a big splash in their final season with MV.

“I am a lot more understanding of how to be a better player and the best player at my position,” said Cole Worley, 12.

Although the first game of the season was a loss to Hamilton South Eastern, 2-0, the season is far from over. The team is always looking to improve on some weaknesses.

The whole team really needs to improve on their communication to one another on the field,” said Wallace. “In my own game, I have improved by practicing on my touch on the ball and getting in shape for the season.”

The next game will be on September 10th, against Yorktown High School. The game will kickoff at 7pm.
