Men’s Varsity Baseball

Boys’ Varsity baseball season has begun for MV. Although the season did not start with a win, the Marauders have made up for it, as they are on a 3 game winning streak.

“Opening game was really bad. We lost 20-10 to Southport High School, but we have definitely made up for it,” said Coach Carr.

Although the season has just started, Coach Carr is already seeing lots of improvements in this team.

“Our bats are a lot more polished,[and] everyone seems to be on the same page a lot more this year. We also have not been letting one single person influence the whole team. It has been a more team feel,” said Coach Carr.

He sees a lot of good things happening with his team, but sees some things that could still be improved.

“We could be more aggressive on bases, pitching staff could walk fewer people, and I would like more guys to do things they are not asked to do,” said Coach Carr.

This is Coach Carr’s fifth year coaching and he is excited to see what the future holds.
