My friend and I went to the cinema on Saturday. I did not know what we were going to go see at the movies, but I still went. When we arrived, she told me that we were here to see the new movie ¨The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.¨ I had not watched the trailer for it or seen anything about it, but I remembered seeing the poster for it and thought that it looked thrilling.
¨The Nutcracker and the Four Realms¨ is about a young girl named Clara who needs a one-of-a-kind key to unlock a box that contains a priceless gift her mother left for her. In a magical world, she is lead to the key by a thread, but the key is snatched by the Mouse King. In this magical world, Clara meets a soldier named Phillip, a group of mice, and a group of magical people who preside over three realms. Clara and Phillip must enter the fourth realm to retrieve the key and restore harmony to the unstable land.
“‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ seems like a thrilling new movie that I would love to go watch sometime soon,¨ said Brianna Hawkins, 11.
In my opinion, the film was very good, even though I am not the type of person who would normally watch drama/fantasy. I lost myself in the movie, and I forgot that I was even in the theater. I loved the great plot twist, even though I saw it coming. I felt like I was racing alongside the characters during the action. The movie constantly had me on the edge of my seat, hypnotized by the screen.
Leaving me wanting more, “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is a great movie to watch during the holiday season.
