Why thrifting is so good!

Thrifting, or searching stores for cheap and discounted clothing, is becoming increasingly popular in today’s world. Many students also find it convenient because they can find nice clothes at cheap prices, and many high schoolers do not have a lot of money.
“It is like finding a gem in a treasure chest,” said Bailey Hodgin, 11. “You can be experimental and not spend a lot of money.”
Some people like to thrift so that they can stay in style.
“You can follow trends cheaply,” said Morgan Seeman, 11. “I hate trying to buy expensive clothes that will go out of style.”
Many people believe that thifting is a good deal, but some are not always impressed by what the stores have to offer.
“I like finding a good deal. Every time I go to Kroger, I go straight to the clearance section,” said Jaici Wright, 11. “Sometimes you can find things that would have a high price at a store, and you can find it for five dollars at Goodwill. That’s a good deal. But other times, thrifting will be something like five dollars for a broken piece of glass, and you’re like, ‘Seriously?’”
The cheap items at stores like Goodwill can be a problem. It is hard to tell if you are always getting a good deal.
“I think it cool what you can find,” said Sabrina Zeis, 11.
Thrift shopping is an adventure, and there is always something interesting to be found. Whether or not it is something horribly cheap or a real steal, thrifting is always something fun to do and helps save money.
