A capella concert

On Tuesday, April 30, the Mt. Vernon A Capella group, Locked Out, performed at the Alumni Center at 7pm. Tickets were $5 for adults and $2 for students

The group sang songs such as “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder, “Say Something,” and “No Roots.” There were also featured solos or duets in between song sets.

“It was eventful and one of the greatest experiences of my life,” said Jacob Crow, 12.

Snacks were offered, and there was a place to donate to the A Capella group for their hard work.

This is the first time A Capella has had a showcase night.

“It was really fun,” said Ms. Anderson. “I felt like it was a really great chance for Locked Out to showcase more than one song at a time. It was really relaxed, and it allowed for the performers to be themselves on stage.”

Locked Out is looking to continue this tradition for next year.
