Valentine’s day is coming up. That means hearts everywhere, red and pink themed candy in stores, and of course, gifts.
“Valentine’s day is tight,” said Spencer Kern, 11.
Gifts can be pricey, so this Valentine’s day surprise a special loved one with one of these DIY gifts.
- Date idea jar
What you’ll need- An empty glass jar, decorative stickers, a label or a piece of paper and tape, paper and markers.
How to make it-
- Decorate the jar and add a label with “Date Ideas” written out on it.
- Write out date ideas on small strips of paper.
- Fold the pieces of paper and put them in the jar.
- Coffee koozie
What you’ll need- Crochet hook and worsted weight yarn.

- Lucky Charms Only Marshmallows Jar
What you’ll need: – Empty jar, decorative stickers, decorative tape, paper, and about a cup of the marshmallows from a box of Lucky Charms.
How to make it-
- Separate out the marshmallows from the box of Lucky Charms and put them to the side.
- Decorate the jar with stickers.
- Use decorative tape to tape on a piece of paper and write out label “just the charms (extra lucky)”
- Put the Lucky Charms marshmallows into the jar.
