60 Second News: Women’s History month

Lauren Pilkington, Staff Writer

Women’s History month is celebrated in March all over the world. This month is used to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions that women have provided to this country, along with the ideas that they have brought to this world. Movements include: rights for women, voting, and the feminist movement. This celebratory month was dedicated to women by Congress in 1987. Truly, we have Ronald Reagan to thank for helping to make March officially Women’s History Month.
