The 2026 Grammys was hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California on February 1.
Bad Bunny’s seminal “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” made history when it became the first predominantly Spanish-language release to win album of the year at the 68th Grammy Awards. Bad Bunny became the third Latino artist to receive a high award following Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana and Brazilian musician João Gilberto.
The red carpet also did not disappoint, with topless, sheer and glamorous looks that pushed the envelope wide open. Some favorite looks from Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé and Olivia Dean at the red carpet. Artists definitely had striking looks such as Chappell’s naked dress and Lady Gaga’s feathery “black swan” gown. Also several attendees were pictured wearing “ICE Out” and “Be Good” badges to protest the Trump administration’s ongoing immigration crackdown.
The 2026 Grammys was definitely a night to remember. Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” was named record of the year, making Lamar the winningest rapper in Grammy history. The difference between the best album and record of the year has to do with an album being a collection of songs while a record is a single.
Billie Eilish’s song “Wildflower” won song of the year. Olivia Dean won best “New Artist.” “Golden” from the movie “K-Pop Demon Hunters” won “Best Song Written For Visual Media,” becoming the first K-pop song to win a Grammy award in any category.
There were amazing performances showing the rising talent in the music industry. Katseye performed their song “Gnarly,” making them the first girl group to perform at the Grammys since Destiny’s Child in 2001.
Lots of exciting things happened at the Grammys, with many political movements and artists making the history books.
