To me, not all Red Bull energy drinks are worth the hype. While I find myself drinking some flavors of Red Bull multiple times a week, there are some flavors I always ignore.
After trying most available Red Bulls, I feel confident in my ability to rank the flavors I have tried. To be clear, this ranking is only based on flavors I have personally tried.
It is only fair to begin with the original Red Bull. On its own, I do not usually reach for this flavor, but in a “dirty soda” which usually consists of some sort of carbonated drink, flavored syrup and half and half, it is suddenly so delicious.
As for the Sugar Free Red Bull, absolutely not. I would rather go thirsty than even take a sip, but I do believe it deserves a mention for sake of consistency. Now, with the “original” Red Bulls out of the way, It is time for some flavor.
At the bottom of the list is the Red Bull Amber, flavored with strawberry apricot, which is a one out of 10. To me, this flavor is an easy skip. This flavor is overwhelmingly artificial and oddly sour. As a strawberry lover, something in this drink definitely goes wrong.
Next, Red Bull Watermelon gets a three out of 10. I do not like anything artificially watermelon flavored, and this flavor did not change my mind. To me, this flavor tastes more like candy than fruit.
I give the Red Bull Coconut Berry a four out of 10. I used to reach for this flavor often, but over time the coconut flavor became too strong. I would drink this Red Bull, but only as a last resort.
Red Bull Fuji Apple Ginger is another four out of 10. I like apples, so this flavor has potential, but unfortunately the ginger flavor takes over. I would have liked this more apple leaning, taste wise.
Now, Red Bull Tropical is a seven out of 10. To me, this flavor is perfectly fine. I like the tropical notes, but I usually do not reach for tropical flavors so that is why it is stuck at seven.
Second to best is the Red Bull Blueberry is a nine out ten. This one is a classic for me, this is my favorite Red Bull that is regularly available.
Last, the Light Blue Winter Edition Red Bull which is a ten out of ten. This drink is easily my favorite carbonated drink ever, and the drink reminds me of the Trix’s yogurt I used to eat when I was a kid. Vanilla mixes so well with the berry flavor, and this drink tastes almost like candy. I cannot recommend this drink enough.
Overall, there’s many different Red Bull flavors, and I hope this list helps the reader pick one.
