With so much going on in a teen’s life, they can occasionally feel lost. Music has been a known way through reaching teenagers about life and emotions. Music can reassure them that even though a situation may be tough to deal with at the moment, it doesn’t mean it will last forever.
“Dusty Bibles” by Josiah Queen is the most famous song from his “Mt. Zion” album. This song went viral on June 20, 2025 and remained a popular song for months until his collaboration was introduced with another famous Christian artist, Forrest Frank.
The song, “Dusty Bibles” talks about how teens can be so focused on getting the newest phone or become wrapped in social media, that they slowly stop coming in contact with Jesus Christ. This song allows teens to reflect on how they have been treating the word of God and how seriously they are taking their relationship with him as well.
One way to take a relationship with God seriously is by praising him. All people need encouragement to do something and with this song teens can feel encouraged to praise the Lord. “Praise” by Elevation Rhythm lets people know that it is important to worship and praise the Lord. If one is looking to seek God, it is important to praise the Lord because it is a way of showing kindness and trying to mold oneself into a better role model.
Looking back on life, maybe someone doesn’t feel so great about their life and what they’ve done. “A Life Worth Dying” by Josiah Queen reminds teenagers that they are still at a young age and there is a whole world they have yet to explore. There is so much that teenagers have not experienced yet. People should feel confident about their life. There are so many unachieved goals throughout one’s lifetime. Instead of having the feeling of life passing by, make actions to create happy memories that are unforgettable.
Teens who think about their lives often feel insecure.. Teens who overthink may start to wonder if other teens judge them. “Misunderstood” by Forrest Frank and Cory Asbury is a song about one’s feelings when it comes to judgment. Sometimes people in school or even at their jobs can be judgemental. Maybe they judge on what type of clothes they wear or the style of their hair. People can start to feel insecure about their outer appearances, but this song reminds teenagers that Jesus was also judged by the world and that they do not have to feel alone.
Lastly, “Goodbye Yesterday” by Elevation Rhythm and Gracie Binion teaches people that they shouldn’t hold on to the past. Holding on to the past means people keep worrying about it even though that part of life already has passed by. “Goodbye Yesterday” encourages teenagers to keep looking forward in life because there are many life changing occurrences for the future ahead.
These 5 Christian songs are made to give comfort to the teenagers out in the world who feel lost, lonely, hopeless, or all of the above. These songs are for the teenagers who may feel like they have no one who understands them or sees the situations they have to go through. This music is made for comfort and a chance for those who are willing to grow closer to God.
