Virginia State Police have been searching for Travis Lee Turner since November 20. On November 25, a warrant was issued for Turner’s arrest, charging him with five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor.
Turner was a coach for the Union High School football team. They had an undefeated season when Turner seemed to vanish. However, Turner’s family released a statement to Operation Sport that they saw him walking into the mountainous area,carrying a firearm.
On December 1, the United States Marshal Service announced that they are offering $5,000 for information leading to Turner’s arrest. The next day Turner was declared a fugitive, with his family denying any allegations.
“None of that is true. He’s a good dad and a good husband,” Turner’s wife previously told the Daily Mail.
As of January 13, 2026 Turner has not been caught by the U.S. Marshal. It has been warned by the U.S. Marshall to use caution and that he might be armed.
