Arc Raiders is a third-person extraction-shooter game that was released on October 30. Arc Raiders is a PvPvE game, which means players go against other real players online as well as AI enemies.
Arc Raiders felt really unique for the first couple of weeks I played it. The combat was good. I was continuously progressing and getting new loot that I had never seen before. In the past few sessions I have played, it has started to feel a little stale.
In extraction-shooter games like Tarkov and Arc Raiders, the objective is to go into a battlefield, pick up as much loot as possible and escape without a hit by an AI or an online player. In Arc Raiders, it seems like I am picking up the same things over and over and dying from hits by players hiding in a bush or exploiting a glitch they found.
The game looks beautiful and has great combat, but it needs to work on its loot pool and glitches that can sometimes make the game simply boring.
I rate Arc Raiders a seven point five out of 10. It is definitely worth a play for those who have never played extraction shooters, but for those who have, there are simply better options as of right now.
The game is very new, so with updates and time, it should continue to get better and have more content. I am not closing the door on it just yet.
