On November 10, 2025, the cold weather and snow in Indiana caused a multitude of car accidents. In Indianapolis, due to the falling snow, a Winter Weather Advisory was put in effect until 10 a.m. Monday. Indiana was predicted to get two inches of snow over the course of the day.
Schools like Carmel Clay, Noblesville, Roncalli, Zionsville and nearly 47 others had two-hour delays due to snow and icy conditions. However, some schools decided to continue with their regular hours.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police reported an increase in crashes overnight. It was reported that there were more than 134 crashes between midnight and five a.m. This is roughly double the usual number of crashes in the given time frame. Within those 134 crashes, at least 18 reported injuries. There were 15 slide-offs, and 32 involved motorist assists.
The dangerous conditions continued throughout the afternoon. ISP posted on social media, “Message remains the same. SLOW DOWN!”
Governor Mike Braun joined a press conference with the Indiana Department of Transportation, Indiana State Police and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security on Monday. They coordinated winter weather efforts during Winter Weather Preparedness Week.
