Many teenage girls in high school use mascara. Though not everyone uses the same brand. Taking a peek at the eyelashes of each individual, some may be clumpier and defined, while others are light and long. I tested out three different brands of mascara to determine which ones give the best results and make my lashes look the best.
The first brand I decided to try was Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express mascara. This mascara comes in a yellow and purple bottle that says Colossal on the front. I enjoyed this mascara a lot. It was pretty easy to apply and made my lashes look great. My only complaint was that it really weighed my lashes down, causing them to lose their curl. This mascara had a nice texture and lasted for multiple hours. It also washed off very easily. Overall, this was probably the best mascara out of the three I sampled.
The second brand I tested out was Bounce Pump’d Up mascara. This mascara comes in a purple container, with a smaller length brush. I found this mascara to be a little bit dry. I really was not a fan of how hard it was to get the black mascara to stay on my lashes. However, after several coats, my lashes looked amazing. This mascara did not define my lashes as much as The Colossal Volum’ Express, however it was not awful either. It washed off very easily, and did not damage my lashes at all.
The final brand that I sampled was Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift mascara. When I initially tried this, I did not realize it was a waterproof mascara. I had such a difficult time trying to figure out how to remove this one from my lashes, and it took several washes. This mascara would be great for a pool party. The look of it on my lashes actually made them pop really well, and it had a really nice texture. The mascara applied so easily, that it was hard to dislike.
Overall, these brands were all decently good and I would be able to happily recommend them to anyone looking for a new brand of mascara.
The Colossal Volum’ Express and Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift mascara are both worth $13.99. The Bounce Pump’d Up mascara is the least expensive at $10.99. Although these may be a bit out of budget for some, they are worth the price.
Out of all of these brands, the worst one was the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift mascara. I did not love it as much as I wish I tried to. It was difficult to get off and does not bring color to lashes.
