How deeply someone is devoted to their beliefs can make people aggravated sometimes. This was a very real scenario that happened to Charlie Kirk. On September 10 at 12:23 p.m., Kirk was fatally shot in the carotid artery in his neck while speaking at Utah Valley University.
Right before he was shot, he was asked about his opinion on mass shootings. Kirk then asked if he was talking about mass shootings in public sentences or with gang violence. Right after that, he was shot and most likely died instantly.
Kirk leaves behind his wife, Erika, and his son and daughter.
Following his death, there has been significant division between the two major political parties. It has led to people getting fired because of posts they have made on social media. An example of this is Jimmy Kimmel’s show being temporarily suspended due to a post he made about the situation.
The shooter has been identified as Tyler James Robinson. He has not been charged yet and is still awaiting trial.
