Universal Island of Adventure

The Islands of Adventure is one of three sections at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida. It holds about half of the attractions and experiences at the park. Because the park is separated, each section has its own specific prices and operating hours. The Islands of Adventure tickets cost $169 per adult and $164 per child on the day I visited. The park is open every day of the week, but hours vary.

The park is full of a variety of attractions and rides that are unique to the entirety of Universal. Some of these include the Jurassic Park VelociCoaster, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

In addition to rollercoasters and attractions, there are large models and buildings related to the specific themes in each area. Some of these include the Harry Potter train, the King Kong enclosure and different characters from Dr. Seuss.

The most popular area of the park is the Harry Potter and Poseidon’s Fury section. This part is full of food stands and attractions that visitors frequently enjoy. If anyone enjoys Harry Potter or Greek mythology, this is a good place to start in the park.

The entirety of the park is also organized into different themed areas. These include Jurassic Park, comic book superheroes, Harry Potter, Dr. Seuss and vintage cartoons such as Popeye the Sailor.
