To promote “A Minecraft Movie,” McDonald’s came out with a new meal called “A Minecraft Meal.”
For $11.99, customers and fans alike can get a Big Mac or a 10-piece chicken nugget with a side of fries, a drink, a collectible toy and card with a code on it. The code allows Minecraft players to redeem in-game rewards in “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.”
I liked this meal. I think McDonald’s is the best when it comes to promotions and collaborations with movies and games. They have an amazing marketing team. These meals get the public excited to receive a new collectible.
I also believe McDonald’s knows that its previous target audience is aging up, and it needs to follow along so that the company will keep its long-standing customers.
The packaging was nice as well. Everything was Minecraft themed, from the cups to the Big Mac box to their new Nether-themed sauce. The Nether-themed Sauce was a creamer sriracha. It was nothing special, but good for the nuggets I guess.
I think any Minecraft fan will love this meal. It is fun with a lot of references to the games that fans will understand. If one likes McDonald’s, they should try the meal. Eight out of 10, I would definitely recommend.
