Seth Rollins, CM Punk and Roman Reigns have been confirmed to have a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41.
This match comes after a years-long feud between these three. Tensions finally boiled over on the road to Wrestlemania.
The feud between Rollins and Reigns came to an all time high at the Royal Rumble on Feb. 1. This occurred when both men were eliminated from the Rumble and Rollins did his signature stomp to Reigns on the metal step.
Punk and Rollins had a similar story at Elimination Chamber on March 1. They both competed in the chamber and an attack by Rollins cost Punk to lose to John Cena. This was a shocking blow to Punk, as he had been dreaming of Main-Eventing Wrestlemania since the beginning of his WWE career.
They started hinting towards the Triple Threat match on March 24’s edition of Monday Night RAW. Punk took the mic and gave a speech calling out both Rollins and Reigns. This led to a full out brawl between Punk and Rollins.
Rollins and Punk continued their violent feud at a steel cage match in Madison Square Garden. Towards the end of the match, Reigns came on and pulled Rollins out of the cage and beat him. He even hit Rollins with the steel steps as a call back to Royal Rumble. Reigns only stopped his assault on Rollins when he realized that CM Punk was being comforted by Reigns’ right hand man, Paul Heyman. This caused Reigns to attack Punk in a fit of rage.
CM Punk later reminded Heyman of the favor that he had promised him. Heyman responded by telling Punk that he will finally get his dream of main-eventing WrestleMania
WWE fans are all anxiously awaiting the outcome of this match between three men who have strong hatred for one another.
