WrestleMania is set to take place on April 19 and April 20 in Las Vegas. There are a variety of matches coming up with many fans, including myself, having some strong opinions on the matches and who they want to win. These are my personal Wrestlemania predictions.
The first match is for the WWE Undisputed Championship between Cody Rhodes and John Cena. I think that this match will go to Cody Rhoades. I think this because he is one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE right now and with the recent Cena heel turn, Cena’s chances of winning have greatly decreased, as heels rarely win. I also think that it would be strange to give Cena a championship when he is just retiring after this year – he would just abandon the belt and would not stay to defend it. The only thing that Cena has in his favor is that, if he wins, it will be his 18th championship, setting a new record.
The next match is for the Women’s Championship between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair. I think Tiffy will continue her Championship reign because of the outrage from fans after Flair’s Royal Rumble win. People believe that Flair does not deserve to have a Wrestlemania match and that she has been overhyped by WWE. She also has been showing an overly confident demeanor and people are especially angry at her after she lied to Tiffy, trying to claim that Tiffy’s boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser, has been in her DMs. People responded to this by making fun of Flair, saying that it is the one time that someone alleged cheating and no one believed her.
The match that I am most excited for is the Women’s World Champion triple threat match between Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. With this match, who I want to win and who I predict to win are different. I want Ripley to win because she is my favorite female wrestler. However, my prediction is for Iyo Sky to win. WWE has been pushing a story where Belair and Ripley are fighting each other but are consistently overlooking Sky. She has told them multiple times to stop ignoring her and that she is the current champion, so I think they are pushing her as the person overlooked who wins.
The first confirmed match is for the World Heavyweight Championship between Jey Uso and Gunther. I am pretty confident in my prediction that Uso is going to win this match. WWE has been building up the idea that Uso cannot beat Gunther and Gunther has been attacking Uso’s friends for no reason, leading him to get upset. Gunther recently got in a fight with Uso’s brother, Jimmy, leading fans, including me, to think that Uso will be so angry that he will be powerful enough to finally beat Gunther at Wrestlemania. Fans also hate Gunther and Uso is one of the most popular wrestlers.
The Main Event of Wrestlemania is a triple-threat match between Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins. I do not have a clear winner in my head, but my vote is for CM Punk. This is half because he is my favorite wrestler, but also because this is Punk’s first time Main Eventing Wrestlemania, which has been his dream since the beginning of his WWE career. CM Punk is the most liked of all of these men, which often works out in the favorite wrestler’s favor.
One of the smaller matches at Wrestlemania is Logan Paul and AJ Styles. I think that AJ Styles will win this match because practically everyone hates Paul, as he is a giant heel and always has been. I also think that it would be strange for them to bring back Styles at Royal Rumble and not give him a win.
A match that I do not know much about is the United States Championship between Jacob Fatu and LA Knight. I do not really follow either of these wrestlers so I am just going to go with a gut feeling that Fatu is going to leave with the championship.
Another match that is very exciting and drama-filled is between Naomi and Jade Cargill. I think that Cargill will win because her drama with Naomi is setting up a heel turn for Naomi. I am hoping that Naomi will come out to her former song, “Amazing.”
The final confirmed match is for the Intercontinental Championship between Bron Breakker, Penta, Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio. I think that Balor will win this match because I feel that he will return to his former identity, The Demon, as there have been multiple hints on recent RAW episodes with the Judgement Day. I think he will take this as his opportunity to leave The Judgement Day.
I am very excited for Wrestlemania and I am looking forward to seeing what other matches get confirmed and how many of my predictions will come true. Wrestlemania is the biggest event in the WWE calendar, meaning some of the most shocking twists and interesting setups for next year’s wrestling season and Summer Slam.
