Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if one has a date or crush, they might be thinking about getting a gift for that special gal. But what should an individual get? Girls are confusing. Do they want some chocolates, flowers or maybe a nice card? Here are some ideas for gifts to give to girlfriends.
The number one thing that girls want is for their partner to just spend quality time with them. Actions speak louder than words.
Adelaide Murray, a sophomore, said “I want to hang out with a guy who will take me out on a picnic lunch.”
Actions can include hanging out, going on walks or even just watching a show.
Ava Lackey, junior, said that girls want, “chocolate and a stuffed animal.”
Small gifts can be an easy way to show affection to the special girl.
Since girls are individuals, what to get them depends on what they like. If they do not have a sweet tooth, then they might prefer a gift like jewelry.
Katherine Lawrence, sophomore, said, “Flowers die way too quickly, but Lego flowers are really cute.”
Many others agree that this is a really thoughtful idea.
Overall, it really just depends on what kind of girl is receiving the gift. If the recipient cannot keep a plant alive to save their life, then maybe flowers are not a great idea. One should ask themself or their partner whether they like sweets, actions or gifts. Some less traditional gifts could be things such as make up, bath bombs or salts, or tea.
