Mob Psycho 100 S3 Review

The new releases this fall of anime were amazing. With returning series, such as “Bleach” and “Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun,” and new releases like the long-awaited “Chainsaw Man,” it has been a season to remember. But there is one anime in particular that I was waiting on the most. The third season of my favorite anime to date, “Mob Psycho 100.” I will admit, it was a huge letdown, and I was really disappointed with the ending.

“Mob Psycho 100” is an anime about a young middle school boy named Shigeo Kageyama. The twist is he has physic powers. Crazy things, especially ones relating to his powers, happen to him all the time, but he just wants to live a normal life.

To me, this is a really good plot, as anything could happen and it makes it exciting and interesting. But the plot of this season was odd. It was kind of cut in half. Anime fans were expecting a continuous plot, got that plot for six episodes, and then received a completely separate plot the last six episodes. It did not make any sense to me.

The animation was really good though; although it was expected since studio Bones made it. It was colorful, and the fighting was an amazing spectacle. This anime never disappoints when it comes to its animation.

I watched this anime in English (dub), and I recommend it in dub too. I have watched the first, second, and third season in dub so anything else is weird to me. It was not a bad season, but very average for a show that has been anything but for its previous two seasons. I give this season a seven out of ten. It was alright. I would recommend only watching the first two seasons and stopping there to avoid disappointment.
