“Animal Crossing” Update

Keith Ellington, MVC Writer

“Animal Crossing” has been one of the most popular Switch games of the last two years. Nintendo made $654 million in worldwide digital sales and sold 31.18 million copies of the game. One of the biggest updates for the game is coming on November 5. There are going to be many things the game gives the player that will help the player make their island the perfect paradise.

First, the museum will be getting a new section. It is called “The Roost.” It is a small coffee cafe owned by the returning character from “Animal Crossing: Wild World,” Brewster. At “The Roost,”  players can order coffee and see other characters go to the cafe. They can also invite certain characters with Amibo, a figure that players place on their Switch that spawns a character in the game. The player can also invite friends from different islands using Nintendo Online.

Another returning character is the cool frog himself, Kapp’n. Kapp’n will give the player a boat ride, sing a little song, then take them to a mysterious island with new items of nature for them to discover.

Harv’s Island also got an update. There will now be a new Plaza with all the traveling sellers there to make it easier for the player to get to them. On top of this, the player will have new cooking recipes they can make. Tom Nook will give the player these recipes when the updates come out.

The last thing will be a paid downloadable content called “Happy Home Paradise.” This will be $24.99. This will be a job the player does that will allow them to be able to give villagers from different islands a new home. The player can also get paid, and even mate the villagers in one room. This update will be out next week, so if you are fans of “Animal Crossing: New Horizons, don’t miss it.
