New Middle School Constrution

The middle school has been under construction for a year now, and progress is still ongoing. Currently, construction is going on in the front of the building.

There is ongoing construction because the school is trying to make improvements on the outside and inside of the building.

The construction has affected the teachers’ daily lives. Most teachers feel that even though the construction is frustrating at the moment, the improvements on the school are worth the wait.

“Each day is a little bit different,” said Ms.Thomas, a 7th grade social studies teacher. “Some days are cool and quiet, and some are hot and loud. Some staff members are situated in permanent locations, while others will be moving soon. The key for all of us has been to remain flexible as the inconvenience will be worth the improvements.”

The construction can also get in the student’s way of learning.

“Construction has made learning sometimes difficult,” said Lexa Leroy, 8. “It is so noisy and sometimes the workers pull fire alarms and we have to evacuate.”

The noise of the construction can interrupt the class, and can obstruct the student’s learning environment.

The end of construction is not yet known, but work is being done every day to further it.
