The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child into the world on April 23. Kate Middleton bore a healthy boy, who was publicly introduced to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, west London.

Prince William and Kate Middleton waited four days before revealing their baby’s name.

The new prince has been named Louis Arthur Charles. Louis means “renowned warrior” in French. The name Louis was a surprise to the public, as it was not one of the top names predicted by British oddsmakers.

Prince Louis is currently fifth in line to the British throne. The order of succession is now Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
