The Marauders boys basketball team advanced to regionals after securing the sectional title. The team won in semi-sectionals against Connersville at Richmond High School on March 2. They went on to play New Pal for the sectional title on the March 3.

The boys went 12-8 on the regular season even through trials and hardships.

“I feel like we prepared hard and came ready. Many people didn’t expect us to be as good as we have been especially coming out with a win in the sectional championship,” said varsity player, David Kilburn, 11. “Coach made a great game plan get us then win in both games and I have full faith in us to go out and win again. We may be the underdogs but don’t count us out.”

The optimistic team will be playing in semi-regionals against Terre Haute South Vigo at 10AM at Southport High School on March 10. If they win, they will play the winner of the Warren Central vs Ben Davis game at 8pm that same night.
