Animals and carols

Christmas at the Zoo took place at Indianapolis Zoo, and on November 24-26 and 29-20, and December 1-3, 6-10, 13-23, 26-30. There was no Christmas at the Zoo on Christmas Eve or Christmas.  

December 19, 2016, the women’s choir, Expressions, and the women’s a capella group, Formation, went to the zoo to perform. The intermediate all-girls choir, Expressions performed at the Indianapolis Zoo along with the women’s a capella group, Formation.

The choir girls got to the Indianapolis Zoo at 5:30 and carolled around the zoo until 6:30, where the performed in the rotunda, near the butterfly exhibit.

Expressions performed “Santa Baby,” “Silent Night,” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.”

Formation performed “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The Book of Love.”

Both choirs performed Christmas carols at the end of the concert, such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Deck the Halls.”

“I had a lot of fun at Christmas at the Zoo,” said Madalyn Mull, 10. “I loved performing around the animals.”
