In this, my first-ever review, I will present my top five favorite Christmas movies along with a short summary and a review. I hope you enjoy and happy watching.
5.“Die Hard”
This action movie follows a New York cop coming home to visit his estranged wife and kids for Christmas, but he accidentally gets caught up in a terrorist hijacking. This action classic is a must-watch for anyone who loves the genre, and though it is much more loosely related to Christmas than the other films on this list, it is still a great watch.
- “Jingle Jangle: a Christmas journey”
Years after his apprentice betrays him, a dejected toy maker’s world is brought back to life by his young granddaughter. This musical masterpiece is refreshing with its vibrant special effects and great singing paired with a fun and new Christmas tale. This film is excellent for the whole family, because of its happy fairytale-like plot and setting.
- “It’s a Wonderful Life”
A dissatisfied businessman, thinking that his life has amounted to nothing and has given up on his dreams, is shown a world where he was never born to learn of all the good he has caused. Even though this movie is nearly 80 years old, it stood the test of time with still lovable themes of hope and to look on the bright side of everything.
- ”The Grinch 2018 (animated)”
This Christmas classic is about a mean old Grinch and his devious plan to steal Christmas, but in the end he learns about how Christmas is not about the stuff, but the love. Overall, I love this movie for the message that it brings and the hope it sparks.
1.“Klaus.”
A snobby rich-boy postman is assigned to a remote snowy town in the middle of nowhere where everyone hates each other, but he forms an unlikely friendship with a woodsman named Klaus and helps bring that town together. I think this is one of the best Christmas movies for all ages, with its unique animation style and beautiful message.
I would recommend any of these to anyone who enjoys Christmas. These are just a few of a multitude of excellent Christmas movies to watch, as I have not seen every Christmas movie. Nevertheless, I found these incredibly enjoyable and worth a watch regardless of any background. I hope they can bring as much joy to you as they have to me.
