The popular Spiderman trilogy, which starred Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, or MJ as she is known in the movies, started being released in 2002 and finished in 2007.
In general, the movies themselves have amazing quality in terms of audio and video, as well as the computer-generated imagery (CGI) for the years that these movies were produced and introduced to the public.
In a ranking based off of the plot, CGI, and acting, I would say that Spider-Man 2 takes first place for the best movie in the trilogy, while the third movie takes second place, and the first movie earns last place. While all three movies have an amazing plot and phenomenal acting, Spider-Man 2 outshines the other two movies in my eyes.
Plot wise, the second movie was better than the other two. The main villain in the movie, Dr. Otto Octavious, more commonly known as Dr. Octopus or Doc Ock, played by Alfred Molina, is the best villain among the three movies in my opinion. He had the best motive to hate Spiderman.
When his experiment that was supposed to change the world went wrong, causing an explosion that killed multiple people including his wife, his reputation was ruined. So, from his perspective, Spider-Man was the cause of all of his misfortune. All this without even mentioning that the mechanical arms attached to his back controlled him and put evil intentions into his head.
The third movie, in my opinion, is better than the first movie because the plot was more exciting. I think that when there are sequels to movies, they always have the potential to be better than the first movie due to the sequels being able to focus more on character development in main and side characters and being able to go deeper into the journey of the main character versus spending time on exposition.
Overall, all three of the movies were a good watch. I would definitely watch the trilogy again and recommend the movies to others who enjoy superhero movies.
