There are hundreds of different chocolate candies in today’s world. With all these options, it can be difficult to narrow down which ones are the best. Since it is Halloween season, I will be listing my favorite chocolate-based sweets to consume, saving the best for last.
Ten: Butterfingers
A Butterfinger is a uniquely made peanut butter and chocolate bar that is known for being very crunchy and crispy. It has a very distinguishable flavor that I like, but is not suited for everyone, especially since they are prone to getting stuck in teeth. I enjoy eating them occasionally, but not often, which is why they are ranked number ten.
Nine: Sixlets
Sixlets are small and spherical chocolate beads known for their distinct flavor, as they contain carob, a gluten free ingredient, alongside cocoa for its chocolate composition. Although they melt easily, their unique texture makes them a tasty alternative to the leading brand M&Ms.
Eight: Hershey Kisses
Hershey Kisses are bite sized, conical shaped chocolate pieces that come in fifteen different flavors, including the holiday themed Candy Cane, Cookies n’ Creme, Sugar Cookie and Mint Truffle. This amount of variety appeals to a number of people who enjoy different types or flavors of chocolate. I like how no matter the flavor, Kisses are bite-sized candies that can be brought and eaten anywhere.
Seven: Crunch
Nestle Crunch bars contain milk chocolate and crisped rice in order to provide a nice crunch to the sweetness. Though some may not like the texture, I find it satisfying to eat these candy bars because of how they feel.
Six: Milky Way
Milky Way bars, made by Mars Inc., are made of chocolate, caramel and nougat, which gives this candy its signature chewy texture. These delicious candies are fun to eat to fulfill sweet cravings, and are convenient when I do not want to binge on too much. They are also similar to Snickers, except without the nuts in the center.
Five: Godiva Truffles
Godiva is a luxury brand of chocolate that prides itself on its unique creamy and savory chocolate recipe. All the original truffle flavors, including Red Velvet Cake, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Lava Cake and Vanilla Mousse contain the highest quality ingredients that give the brand its name. My favorite part about these candies is the satisfying way they melt while eating them, leaving me wanting more.
Four: Kit Kats
Kit Kats are chocolate covered wafer bars. They are satisfyingly crunchy, and the chocolate tastes pure and delicious. Also, they are light to eat, which makes them the perfect snack.
Three: Ghirardelli
Ghirardelli chocolates, owned by Lindt, a luxury chocolate brand, are medium sized squares with filling inside and are individually wrapped. The naturally harvested ingredients combined with the variety of flavors makes for the perfect snack. When eating these, I can taste the perfection and dedication, especially within the caramel ones.
Two: Reeses
Reeses, the peanut butter and chocolate cups, are one of the most popular candies in the nation – and for good reason. This classic combination of chocolate and peanut butter is not matched by many other candies, and continues to be many people’s go to candy when they want something sweet.
One: World’s Finest Chocolate
My favorite chocolate candy bar is World’s Finest Chocolate. Commonly used for fundraisers, these chocolate bars are somewhat large, and they come in 6 different flavors: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, the original W.F. crisp, wafer, almond and caramel. Anyone can get high quality, heavenly tasting chocolate in any flavor they want, for only one dollar. That dollar not only pays for the chocolate, but also raises money for whichever organization is selling them. The high quality for such a low price is what makes these chocolate bars the best.
Although these are my favorite chocolates to consume, there are hundreds of different chocolate candies out there, and many of them not on this list are also worth consuming.
