Every year, Mt. Vernon hosts an at-home football game where seniors participating in the school’s fall sports are recognized. This night is commonly referred to as “Senior Night.” The recognition takes place before the football game, with the seniors lining up on the track in uniform and being escorted down it once their name is called. Once they have been called, an announcer reads off their names, the names of their escorts, other activities they participate in, and their future plans. The seniors recognized this year were divided by sport first, and then put into alphabetical order.
Seniors who participated in football were first.
#12, Domanic Barnett: Domanic is being escorted by his parents Rebekah and Andy Barnett. He is also a part of the track team and participates in the Community Service Club. After graduation, he plans to further his academic and athletic career at an undecided college.
#68, Michael Baugh: Michael is being escorted by his parents, Crystal and Tim Baugh. While at Mt. Vernon, Michael has participated in Marauder Mentors, track and field, wrestling and Marauder Mob. After graduation, he plans to attend Ball State University, majoring in sports broadcasting and journalism.
#64, Tyler Dover-Kempers: Tyler is being escorted by his sister, McKenzie; aunt, Stacy; and cousin, Braden. Tyler’s also on the track team as well as the Green Team. After graduation, he plans to play football and study entrepreneurship or business management at an undecided college.
#1, Christian Edmonds: Christian is being escorted by his parents, Marisa and Jerome Edmunds. While at Mt. Vernon, he has been a part of the track team. Christian is still undecided on his plans after graduation.
#5, Tyler Etherington: Tyler is being escorted by his parents, Daniel and Laura, as well as his brothers, Jaden and Easton. Tyler is on the baseball team and is a Marauder Mentor. After graduation, he plans to play football and study exercise science at college.
#33, Connor Garrison: Connor is being escorted by his mom, Elizabeth and step-dad, Jeff Coon. Connor also serves as the historian of the Community Service Club. After graduation, he plans to attend IU and major in finance and marketing at the Kelly School of Business.
#8, Jaden Gibson: Jaden is being escorted by his parents, Talya and Antjuan Gibson. He is also on the track and field team. After graduation Jaden plans to major in music production engineering at Tennessee State University.
#27, Gabe Grinyer: Gabe is being escorted by his parents, Nicole and Ryan Grinyer. After graduation, he plans to attend trade school for carpentry in order to carry on the family business.
#49, Luke Hankley: Luke is being escorted by his parents Tina and Matt hankley. He is part of the FCA. After graduation Luke plans to attend a 4 year college to major in exercise science and work in physical therapy.
#88, Wilbert Davis Jones III: Tre is being escorted by his parents, Jessica and William Jones Junior. Tre is also on the track team and leadership council. After graduation, he plans to continue playing football or running track at an undecided college, where he will also major in engineering and minor in business.
#37, Jason Lewis: Jason is being escorted by his parents, Tom and Laura Lewis. After graduation, Jason, who has already enlisted in the US Marine Corps, will be attending basic training. After basic training, he will be trained to be an aviation mechanic.
#29, Aiden Lindstrom: Aidan is being escorted by his dad, Jesse Lindstrom, and his mom and step dad, Crystal and Dan Altstadt. Aiden is also in the Community Service Club and the wrestling team. After graduation, Aiden will continue playing football while studying film production and International business. At this time, the school is undecided, but he wants to attend DePauw University.
#31, Corbin May: Corbin is being escorted by his parents, Stacy and Edward Hibbard, and his Nana, Pat May. After high school, Corbin plans on going into mechanics and auto body repair to further his education in the automotive field.
#35, Denim McAtee: Denim is being escorted by his mom, Nashawnya Richardson and his dad, Derek McAtee. After graduation, Denim plans to attend HBCU where he will study computer science.
#63, Matthew Quispe: Matthew is being escorted by his mom, Joyce Quispe and his dad, Louis Quispe. After graduation, Matthew is going to Vincennes University to continue his education in automotive motorsports.
#81, Jamal Simpson: Jamal is being escorted by his sister, Sarah. At this time, Jamal is still undecided as to his plans after graduation.
#4, Isaiah Slunaker: Isaiah is being escorted by his mother, Amy Slunaker, father Ezekial Franklin and stepmom, Jessica Lewis. After graduation, Isaiah plans to become a real estate agent.
#20, Shawn Taylor: Shawn is being escorted by his parents, Matt and Megan Taylor. While at Mt. Vernon, he has also been a part of the wrestling team. After graduation, Shawn is still undecided on his plans.
#54, Roland Tremble: Roland is being escorted by his parents, Nakia and Roland Tremble, and his siblings, Myles and Jayla Tremble. He is also on the track team. After graduation Roland plans to play football and study computer science at an undecided college.
#28, Vanden Vail. Vanden is being escorted by his parents, Ron and Renee Vail. He is also on the wrestling team. After graduation, Vanden plans to go to a fire academy and become a firefighter or attend IU to study kinesiology and exercise science.

Emma Craig: Emma is being escorted by her parents Dan and Lori Craig. While at Mt. Vernon, Emma has been involved in the Community Service Club and the Green Team. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to study business.
Lillian Ferguson: Lillian is being escorted by her mom, Stephanie Uehlin, and her dad, Mark Ferguson. She is also involved in the Marauder Mob, Marauder Mentors, Best Buddies and Prom Committee. After graduation Lillian plans to attend Purdue University to study Business and become a real estate agent.
Destiny Lauderdale: Destiny is being escorted by her parents Marina and Eric Meyer, her brother Mason, and her grandma Connie Glass. Destiny is also on the wwim team, Marauder Mentors, Best Buddies, ASL Club, Prom Committee, VOICE, and National Honor Society. After graduation, she plans to go to college to become a radiologist or work in the radiological health science field.
Violet Miller: Violet is being escorted by her parents, Lisa and Justin Donovan. After graduation she plans to attend Cosmetology school.
Miriam Reedle: Miriam is being escorted by her host family, Pablo, Kassy, and Maya Morales. She is also in choir and Bring Change to Mind. After her exchange year, she plans to go back to Germany and graduate high school. After that she plans to attend a university and travel to more countries.
Noa Traa: Noa is being escorted by her host parents, Sara and Tony Biggs. She is also on the Prom Committee. After her year in America, Noa will return to the Netherlands and plans to study in Amsterdam.
Amelie Walsch: Amelie is being escorted by her host parents, Lindsey and Jeff Jones. After her year in America, Amelie plans to take a gap year to work and travel. After her gap year she plans to study interior design at university.

Laurel Hoeppner: Laurel is being escorted by her parents Amy and Ron Heppner. She is also on the track team and is a Marauder Mentor. After graduation, Laurel plans to attend Marian University with a future career in nursing.
Karynne Ousley: Karynne is being escorted by her mom Randi Ousley and her dad Eric Ousley. She is the vice president of Best Buddies, and is also in Marauder Mentors, Prom Committee, and Marauder Mob. After graduation Karynne plans to attend Purdue University to study elementary education.
Ayla Perry: Ayla is being escorted by her parents, Dan and Vicki Perry. She is a member of the Prom Committee, Community Service Club, and Marauder Mentors. After graduation she plans to major in environmental geoscience and law at Purdue university.
Ava Pershing: Ava is being escorted by her mom, Anna Pershing and her dad, Jason Pershing. She is in Marauder Mentors and National Honor Society. After graduation she plans to attend Purdue University, where she wants to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine.

Chloe Albright: Chloe is being escorted by her parents, Shelli and Greg Albright. She has been a part of National Honor Society, color guard, winter guard, Marauder Mentors and Prom Committee. After graduation, Chloe plans to attend Purdue University to major in nursing and participate in the Purdue Golden Silus Color Guard.
Daniel Barnes: Daniel is being escorted by his parents. Gary and Robin Barnes. He is involved in indoor percussion, jazz band, pit orchestra, concert band, pep band, trap club and Table Top Club. After graduation, Daniel plans to attend Purdue University to study either robotics engineering or aerospace engineering.
Katie Deuser: Katie Is being escorted by her parents, Andy and Sarah Deuser. She is involved with the Book Club, ASL Club, indoor percussion, and is the stage manager for tech crew. After graduation, Katie plans to attend Ball State University to study nursing with a minor in Deaf studies.
Hannah Elstro: Hannah is being escorted by her parents, Andrea and Robert Elstro. She is a part of concert band, pep band, indoor percussion, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and is the copy editor for the school newspaper. After graduation, Hannah plans to go to an Indiana college and work in some form of healthcare.
Camden Fein: Camden is being escorted by her parents, Ben and Kami Fein. She is a part of concert band, pep band, Science Olympiads, and peer tutoring. After graduation, Camden plans to attend Purdue university to study pharmacy.
Ben Gilmore: Ben is being escorted by his dad, David Gilmore and his mom, Amanda Kirkman. He is in concert band and pep band. After graduation, Ben hopes to be marching with Phantom Regiment next summer. Then he plans to attend Purdue Fort Wayne to pursue a degree in musical education.
Salem Jacob: Salem is being escorted by their parents, Angela and Mike Jacob. They are in marching band, concert band, indoor percussion, tech crew, and Book Club. After graduation, Salem plans to attend IU, where they will major in biochemistry.
Jeb Lottes: Jeb is being escorted by his parents. Becky and Matt Lottes, he is also involved in Trap Club, Science Olympiads, Table Top Club, jazz band, pep band, wind ensemble, indoor percussion, pit orchestra, and All State Honor Band. Jeb plans to study aerospace engineering at Purdue university.
Tyler Paris: Tyler is being escorted by his mom, Tracy Paris. He is also in the jazz band. After graduation, Tyler plans to go to college to study general management.
Kota Shepherd: Kota Is being escorted by her parents Heather and Doug Shepherd. She is also involved in wind ensemble, pep band, jazz band, and NAHS. After graduation, she plans to attend Ball State to major in musical education.
Cali Sutton: Cali is being escorted by Chris and Mindi Sutton. They are also involved in indoor percussion and art classes. After graduation, Cali plans on applying to college to major in general management.
Maura Thompson: Maura is being escorted by her dad Donald Thompson and step-mom Susie Thompson. She is in NAHS, indoor percussion, Table Top Club and jazz band. After graduation, Maura plans to go to college to major in geology and minor in computer sciences.
Max Tricker: Max is being escorted by his parents, Sarah and Jason Tricker. He is involved in ASL club, tech crew, and indoor percussion. After graduation, Max plans to attend Ball State to major in business.
Owen Tricker: Owen is being escorted by his parents, Sarah and Jason Tricker. He is involved in jazz band, concert band and pep band. After graduation, Owen plans to study business management at Purdue.
Sophia Ward: Sophia is being escorted by her parents Jamie and John Ward. After graduation, she plans to join Drum Corps International and attend IU to explore different paths within college.
David Woods: David is being escorted by his parents, Heather and Howard Woods. He is in pep band, wind ensemble, marching band, and table top club. After graduation, he plans to study chemical forensics at Hanover college.
Finally, seniors participating in color guard went last.
Tyler Black: Tyler is being escorted by his mom, Erica Williams and his dad, Marty Black. He is also involved in Asian Student Union, is a core leader in VOICE, and also participates in NHS, Science Olympiads, and peer tutoring. After graduation, Tyler plans to attend the US Air Force Academy to study astronomical engineering and be a pilot.
Evelyn Bitz: Evelyn is being escorted by her parents, Stacy and Tim Bitz. She is also involved with NHS and winter guard. After graduation, Evelyn plans to attend college to study molecular genetics to become a future veterinarian for wild and exotic animals.
Lydia Lewis: Lydia is being escorted by her parents, Tom and Laura Lewis. She is also in winter guard. After graduation, she plans to attend Johnson University in Knoxville to study elementary education.
Natalie Sparks: Natalie is being escorted by her parents Misty and Michael Staton. She is also involved in winter guard, concert band, and Marauder Mentors. After graduation, Natalie plans to study exercise science at Ohio State University.
The night ended with the announcers wishing the Seniors of 2024 success in their future endeavors.
