Lewis Animatronic

Recently, a Halloween animatronic at Target has become extremely popular on social media: The 8’ Light and Sound Pumpkin Halloween Ghoul,’ is better known as Lewis. The TikTok sensation is an animatronic made by Target’s Hyde & EEK Boutique, located in the Halloween section and currently retailing for $180.
Lewis became an internet sensation after someone posted one of his lines on Tiktok, “I am not a jack-o-lantern. My name is Lewis.” After this person posted Lewis saying this on TikTok, it became a very popular phrase among users.
More people started visiting Lewis at their Target stores, and have made their own videos revolving around it. There are some videos where the Target they went to removed the batteries for Lewis, since the voice lines became too annoying.
Hyde & EEK Boutique has made other animatronics. For example, Light Up Telescoping Ghost Halloween Scene Prop is a ghost animatronic. This prop is $100, and rises up to a similar height as Lewis. Some people have set up this animatronic as a friend of Lewis, since there is a similar appearance between them.
Lewis has a non-menacing appearance, which makes it less scary for a younger audience, which will make halloween a little less spooky.
