Twin Temple is an American duo that sings rock and roll and doo-wop. Doo-wop is a type of music genre that was popular during the 1950s and 60s. Vocalist, Alexandra James, alongside guitarist, Zachary James, have made their own version of doo-wop called “satanic doo-wop.” They call it this because of the lyrics sung shadow devil worshiping, which they are open about in their songs and in public. It is a very unique type of music.
They have a “sleek and sultry” sound to their music. This is because of the doo-wop genre that makes the song sound like its from the 1950s. Other projects like “Satan’s a Woman” and “Girl Trouble” have also had the same “sleek and sultry” feeling to them.
Their album that was released in 2019 is called “Twin Temple (Bring You Their Signature Sound…. Satanic Doo-Wop.)” From this album, my favorite song is “Let’s Hang Together” since it is well put together in the sense of lyric composure. Everything just rhymes and fits together.
Another song called “Ritual 777” uses their lyrics to talk about issues in the world, such as using lyrics like “Free me from the blinds of ignorance” and “to end patriarchy.”
With Halloween coming up, their music will fit into any Halloween playlist perfectly. They are known to practice Satanism in and out of music.
Twin Temple are currently doing a North American tour with Danzig, Behemoth and The Midnight. They started on October 1, 2023 and will stay on tour until October 27, 2023.
