“The First Descendant” closed beta started September 19, 2023. It closed on the 26th. It was so much fun and honestly a new experience for me as a gamer.
“The First Descendant” is a RPG looter shooter developed by NEXON GAMES Co. The gamers have compared this game to others such as “Warframe” and “Destiny 2.” In my experience with both of the games and trying the closed beta, I would say this is true. It has heavy elements from “Warframe” when it comes to the way the game is played and the loot system, and the grind it takes to get certain things in the game is similar to “Destiny 2.”
Some who have played “Overwatch” and “The First Descendant” will know that the games have similar character selection features. At the beginning of the beta/game, gamers were allowed to pick three characters from the cast to have as their first. Unlocking the others will take heavy grinding, as I unlocked a character right as the beta was closing. Note that I played the game a couple days after the beta released. I only got to play it for 2 days.
This game needs a lot of work, but I think if they take their time, this could be a masterpiece. I am looking forward to its release sometime in February of 2024.
