Xbox Series X Review
November 30, 2022
I recently bought an “Xbox Series X, (XBSX)” and spent some time with it. I honestly love it. This is my first time ever owning my own console and it is definitely a unique and entertaining experience.
After racking up enough money, I bought my XBSX from StockX for around $600. It was brand new straight out of the box. It was $100 more than the normal retail price. It took about a week and a half to get to my house, sooner than its three-week estimated arrival. I was really excited to open it up and to my surprise, the box was in perfect condition. On StockX, it did tell me it was in new condition, but the box was clean with little to no scratches or any kind of damage.
I opened the box and beheld my brand-new console sitting in front of me. The setup was very quick and simple. I only needed the Xbox app and a Microsoft account.
It took a very long time to download my games though. I had a lot of free games that I wanted to play and because of “Xbox’s Game Pass,” I had many selections at my disposal. Sadly, I was waiting for a good four to five hours before I could play anything. A bit disappointing to say the least, but the wait was definitely worth it.
I started off with games I had played before on the previous generation (PS4, Xbox One). Any games that I played were enhanced in graphics, gameplay, and overall performance. This performance boost is one of the reasons why I chose the XBSX over its competitor, the PS5. Microsoft went for a system that can display 4k games. Sometimes I just take time to look around at these amazing worlds. Some games I recommend that have been enhanced, tweaked, or updated are: Fortnite, Apex Legends, the Life is Strange Franchise, and Cyberpunk 2077.
I’ve had my XBSX for about three weeks now and I cannot stop playing it. It is really fun to play and a game pass is an absolute must-have. I do not see the hype around the console dying any time soon. I would give it a 10 out of 10, and would definitely recommend it.
