Girl Scout Cookies: A Completely Objective Review With No Bias Whatsoever
March 31, 2022
Girl Scout Cookies, we know them, we love them. Let me start off with probably the most famous of them all: Thin Mints. This is the classic mint chocolate cookie, slim and round, as it should be. The mint works perfectly with the crisp chocolate cookie in the middle, and it is always a great feeling to eat one. Overall, 10 out of 10, perfect for any occasion.
Next up is my personal favorite, Samoas. With a chocolatey, caramelly, coconutty shell, and a soft cookie inside, this cookie is chewy, coconutty, and even crunchy; though it definitely is not for everyone. However, I am not one of those people. This gets a 10 out of 10 from me every time.
Now for the Tagalongs. These have a chocolate coating, with peanut butter filling, and a cookie inside too. These are not for everyone, and the peanut butter easily overpowers the chocolate. I like peanut butter, but not that much. It is a solid 7 out of 10 though, still a good cookie. I would probably enjoy it more if the peanut butter blended with the chocolate instead of clashing with it.
The Do-si-dos are next on this review. Two oatmeal cookies with peanut butter in the middle, that is the Do-si-do cookie. The cookies are really buttery, and it really complements the peanut butter well. So unlike the Tagalongs, this cookie works well with the peanut butter. Overall, I would give it an 8 out of 10.
The S’mores are the next cookie I sampled. This is my first time trying these cookies, and honestly, they are about what I expected. Not going to lie, they were underwhelming. They taste boring and overly sweet. A 4 out of 10, if that. They did not taste very good.
The final and newest addition to the Girl Scout Cookie lineup are the Adventurefuls. They have a chocolate drizzle on top, as well as caramel in the middle, and are surrounded by a chocolate cookie. It has a very heavy dark chocolate flavor, which not everyone is a fan of, but I do not mind it much. For a new cookie, it seems like they may have run out of ideas. For this final cookie, I give it a 6 out of 10. It feels like there could have been more effort into designing it.
It’s not too late to get Girl Scout cookies this year, so grab a box and try your favorites.

We purchased 3 boxes outside a Sobey’s store in London, Ontario.
These are the worst tasting girl guide cookies ever – stale and tasteless.
Dare sbould be ashamed!
