Dance team wins

On March 12, 2019, the Mt. Vernon Gold Intensity dance team won first place in the AA Pom division of the Indiana High School Dance Team Association state finals. The whole team has worked very hard to get to this place, and it definitely paid off.
“Our team went undefeated all season,” said Vivian Hoepner, 12. “We worked really hard and I’m really proud of our team.”
The team practices almost every day, and it definitely showed at the state level competition.
“The team is very close, almost like a family,” Hoepner added.
Because the team practices so much, they were able to grow close as a team and have chemistry as a team. The week before the competition, they practiced three hours a day every day.
The hard work from the ladies on the Gold Intensity dance team definitely has showed with their win at the state finals.
