Spring break staycation ideas 2019
More stories from Clare Bielefeld
Spring Break is coming up soon, and many students are catching flights to the coast to get some sun. However, others are stuck here in Indiana. But do not fret! A staycation in your hometown doesn’t have to be boring and dull. There are many fun things to do here in town. Here are a few.
“Go hoopin’,” said Nathan Conway, 12. “In Indianapolis, there are hoops everywhere.”
- Game night with friends.
Gather up a few of your best pals to have a fun night of board games and joy. You could play Monopoly for a long game, Scrabble for a medium length game, or Settlers of Catan for a relatively short game of about an hour or two.
- Hit the Roller Rink.
Ice skating season has come and gone, but the roller rink is always open. Roller rinks have groovy music, lights, and unlike ice skating rinks, are the perfect temperature. The Roller Cave in Indianapolis is located at 8734 E 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46219, and is fun for all ages.
- See a Hockey Game
Indy Fuel has a game in Indianapolis on March 8, 2019, at 7:35 PM. The game will take place close by at the Indy Fuel Tank, so grab a few friends and a bucket of popcorn and watch the big game.
- Journey to Space 3D
Grab family or friends to head off to the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum. From February 19 to March 15, a 3D showing of Journey to Space will be showing for everyone including friends and family.
A spring break in town doesn’t have to be a drag with these fun staycation ideas.
