BSU Admitted Students Day

Ever since freshman year, I have wanted to go to Ball State. Joining my school newspaper sparked my interest in journalism and a long line of teachers in my family encouraged me to follow my passion for education. Ball State has great programs in both.

On Friday, April 6th, I attended the Ball State Admitted Student Day. Freshmen of all different backgrounds and interests get to roam the campus, meet with financial aid officials, and get a taste of the freedom that is to come in the fall.

It was easy to meet with officials I needed to talk to and they were very helpful.

The air was cold, but the feeling of walking into the telecommunications living learning community was amazing. I toured the whole building and the amenities that only students in the LLC can access. There were nude paintings in beautiful colors that added to the fact that yes, I was in a college environment, and this was okay.

The campus was gorgeous. Even though it was chilly, the campus was thriving with college students and professors walking to and fro. The atrium was bustling and loud, but I loved what it stood for: independent students doing what they want, when they want, on their own time.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I cannot wait until this fall to attend college and have the freedom that comes with being on my own.
