Softball workouts

Softball workouts are open to any girl who wants to practice before the upcoming softball season.

The open-gym workouts started in October after fall break. The open gyms take place from 4-6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the new Performance Enhancement Center.  

The facility is located across from the middle school.

“The benefits of going to workouts are being around other players and getting to know teammates and coaches and making bonds,” said Coach Kirby, the girl’s Varsity softball coach. “It also prepares the team for the upcoming season.”  

During workouts, the girls on the team will spend quality time together, and become a better team.

“Softball workouts are going pretty good,” said Megan Stricker, 11. “We started with a small group, but each week we’ve been gaining more people. The workouts are also very beneficial because before we weren’t able to practice fielding and now in the new building we are able to hit and field and have plenty of room. ”
