Leap!

Leap! Is a movie about a young orphan named Felice, voiced by Elle Fanning who wants to become a dancer. She runs away to Paris with her best friend Victor, voiced by Nat Wolff, who is in love with her. After they get separated, VIctor lives his dream of becoming an inventor by working for

Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, who is building both the Eiffel Tower and, as Victor himself says, “the Statue of Puberty.”

Felice ends up helping Odet, who used to be a dancer. She steals the identity of the daughter of the woman she works for and goes to the ballet school. She learns how to dance from Odet and she auditions for a part on the Nutcracker.

While all of this is going on, Felice and Victor have difficulties with their relationship, as Felice has more feeling for Rudolph, a Russian dancer, than she does for Victor.

I did enjoy this movie. It is more of a children’s film, but it is an adorable movie that I definitely suggest seeing. Leap! is all about going after one’s dreams and having courage and working hard while doing so. The movie also has a cute little love story involved between Victor and Felice.

I would give this movie a 4/5. I wish it was more for older children or teenagers as it would be more enjoyable and I wish the people who made the movie had mentioned what exactly happened to Odet. I also really enjoyed the dance scenes but I wish they would have showed the whole dance at the end of the movie.

Other than that, I found Leap! very enjoyable and I do suggest seeing it. It is especially enjoyable for dance lovers.
