Conservative host not conservative enough according to critics
April 18, 2017
Tomi Lahren, a 24 year old conservative commentator, reportedly had her show suspended for a week after she was seen on “The View” and stated she was pro-choice in terms of abortion. Her views also got her permanently banned from the “Blaze,” the digital network that provides a platform for a new generation of authentic and unfiltered voices
When on “The View,” she stated that as someone who supports limited government, it would be hypocritical of her to believe the government should decide what women should do with their bodies.
“You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,” Lahren said.
The comment was not received well by most conservatives who are the main audience of her show, hence her show being suspended for a week.
On March 20, Lahren tweeted, “So I’ve got some ‘me’ time tonight. Anything good on T.V. tonight?” with the hashtag #teamTomi.
The commentator is known for bashing modern-day feminists, calling them “man-hating snowflakes,” and stating that “real women don’t wake up and skip work to march for abortions.” It came as a surprise to some when she gave her view.
Glenn Beck, the founder of the “Blaze,” said on his Twitter, “Rule another label out. I am NOT a ‘constitutional.’ I believe in LIFE, liberty and property. Just an old fashioned ‘constitutionalist.’”
