The Lumineers, recently released a new album named “Automatic,” containing eleven tracks. This album was released on February 14, 2025. The album contains a mix of folk music as well as rock music.
The album includes diversity in its tracks, some of them being more upbeat for a fun dancing vibe and some of them being ballads for a more calm vibe. The songs stick with their roots of being heartfelt. Most tracks on this record will likely touch a lot of hearts.
The top tracks on the album are “Automatic,” “Same Old Song” and “You’re All I Got.” The lead single on the album was “Same Old Song,” which, in my opinion, deserves its place as a top song on the album. The song is also the first song on the tracklist, which is a good choice due to the heavily mixed sounds in it. The song includes a lot of rock sounds like guitars and drums, but The Lumineers still put their touch on it, giving it some folk sound with banjos and harmonicas. The chorus of the song is very anticipated with the other verses of the track. The lyrics will also pull listeners in due to their relatability and simplistic style.
“Automatic” and “You’re All I Got” are songs that go hand in hand. They both have lyrics about love and dependance on someone while going in a cycle over and over again. The songs’ melodies are slow, but still keeping an upbeat tempo at times leaving the songs with lots of variety.
The other tracks on the album are also phenomenal. The lyrics used in the songs really show how the writers feel about the topic because of how they are written. The songs are written based on current feelings of the writers, which makes it more intimate. They sing passionately and express feelings which deliver the emotions being captured.
Adding on the music over top of it captures the emotion of the song, leaving listeners wanting more. The band sticks to their heartfelt songs, even with some being heartbreaking, but they still have a gentle touch to each song no matter what it is about. This reels listeners in to keep listening to every album they put out.
