WWE’s 15th elimination chamber took place on March 1, 2025, in Toronto, Canada. The Elimination Chamber takes wrestlers from the NXT, SmackDown and RAW divisions of WWE. These wrestlers are then entered into a multi-person elimination match. Four wrestlers are put into cages that will open periodically throughout the match and a wrestler is eliminated when they tap out or are pinned.
The night consisted of four matches. These were the women’s Elimination Chamber, a tag team match between superstar Trish Stratus and Smackdown champ Tiffy Straton v. Nia Jax and Candice LeRae, an unsanctioned match between former best friends Sami Zayne and Kevin Owens and, finally, the men’s Elimination Chamber.
The women’s chamber consisted of Naomi, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez and Bayley. Liv and Naomi were positioned to begin the match. At the beginning of the match, Jade Cargill made her return after an injury and ran to the chamber.
Cargill, being Belair’s former tag team partner, was believed to have been attacked by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Cargill revealed that instead it was Belair’s current tag team partner, Naomi. She attacked Naomi, leading to her being removed from the Elimination Chamber and causing Belair to break down in despair. Despite her distress, Belair ended as champion and will go on to headline Wrestlemania, fighting either current champion Iyo Sky.
Tiffany Straton and Nia Jax used to have an alliance, but after Straton turned on Jax, they have been enemies. Smackdown on February 14 used this feud and led Trish Stratus to jump in the ring to help Straton, leading to their tag team match at Stratus’s hometown. This match was won by Straton and Stratus.
The build up for Zayne v. Owens began after Owen’s ladder match against Cody Rhodes where Owen’s claims that Zayne was a bad friend for not assisting him in the ring. After a piledriver by Owens leading to Zayne obtaining a neck injury, Zayne convinced an official to give him an unsanctioned match where WWE as a company has no liability for any injuries. This match was advertised as a career and perhaps even life ending match. The match ended brutally with Owens beating Zayne by a pinfall. Following this win, superstar Randy Orton appeared and went to attack Owens, though he was quickly taken out of the ring by security.
The men’s chamber included CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, John Cena, Logan Paul and Damian Priest. McIntyre was the first to be eliminated, despite leaks saying that he would leave as the winner. Instead, it led down to CM Punk and John Cena, with Cena taking the eventual win.
Soon after, Cody Rhodes, The Rock and Travis Scott came out to finally settle their deal. The Rock had previously offered Rhodes a deal that if he gives away his soul, then The Rock will offer him anything that he could wish for and would further his career. Rhodes turned down the offer and was embraced by Cena in response. In one of WWE’s most shocking twists, The Rock signaled to Cena and they all attacked Rhodes. This was especially shocking of Cena, as he has never been a heel at any point in his career, being seen as the number one babyface of WWE.
The Elimination Chamber is the second big event on the road to Wrestlemania and had some shocking outcomes that will lead to interesting storylines for Wrestlemania and the weeks building up.
