On December 8th, 2024, the singer-songwriter girl in red came to the Old National Centre on her “I’m Doing It Again Baby!” tour and performed for the first time in Indianapolis. Her real name is Marie Ringheim and she is originally from Norway, but she creates all her music in English and is primarily based in the US.
The show started with an opener, a band called Sunday (1994). The band has similar music to girl in red in their vocals and music sound. They were a big hit for the show and I think that they were a perfect fit to be the openers. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to their set, even though it was only five songs and lasted around twenty-five minutes.
After they stepped off the stage, there was a short intermission and girl in red was on. She opened with her first song from her new album called “I’m Back.” I think this was a good song to open with because she released this new album three years after her last project and it really brought the hype. It really captures the vibe of the show and brings the energy.
During the show, she played some of her biggest hits such as “We Fell in Love in October,” “Girls” and “Bad Idea!”

These songs are some of her biggest hits with the most online streams on streaming services.
There were lots of upbeat songs as well as slow songs. She even sat down for a few minutes and talked with the crowd. She did this a few times. I think that this really shows how she can connect with her fans and she is very thankful for the people who got her to where she is.
The concert ended after about an hour and a half, which is an average show time. Even in a short time, she still managed to excite the crowd and keep them entertained throughout the night with exciting moments. Overall, the concert was a great show and one of my favorite concert experiences.
