When it comes to cars they come in many different types based on how they are made, with the main groups being supercars, sports cars, rally cars, and daily drivers, with each having its own uses, benefits, and downfalls
Supercars are one of the most iconic cars in current production, their designs are flashy and attention grabbing with powerful engines that must produce at a minimum of 500hp hit speeds of 200+, and have a lightweight frame. Some well-known supercar producers are Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Porsche, Lamborghini, Hennessy, Mclaren, Maserati, Pagani, RIMAC, Lotus, and Alfa Romeo. While these cars are classy and fast, their main downfall is the prices, most cost at least 200,000 for a base model and up to 3 million for a high-end model.
Rally cars are a submodel to some daily driver models. Their creation comes from a base model that is required to be produced to pass all FIA regulations while also being produced as a globally available vehicle. Then the car is heavily modified by making the engines produce more power at a high cost of reliability by turbocharging the engine, removal of all interior specs such as seat wall and roof panels to make the vehicle lighter and perform better. While these cars are fast they lack the amenities and comfort of most other production cars
Sports cars are what some call the “poor man´s racecar” with each having its unique sporty feel with better seats, stylish interiors, and high powered engines. Most will run around 200-400 hp. These models usually have high powered straight sixes v8s or turbocharged inline 4s. The most popular models are the M5, M3, Mustang, Corvette, Charger, Evo, and the WRX/STI
Daily drivers are the most common type of cars ever produced, they were made for the normal person to have a vehicle to drive. They are not very special or stylish with slow engines, such as an inline 4 inline 5 and v6 most come with less worry about the speed and more about efficiency, gas mileage and space.
