On August 6, 2024, Steelwool Studios announced that the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series would be getting a new game in 2025, “Secret of the Mimic.” This announcement for the eleventh main series game was made with a teaser trailer.
The game is going to go over the story of “Five Nights at Freddy’s” before the events of the games. It will be available to play on Windows systems, the PS5, and the Playstation VR2.
The demo released on August 20th hinted that the gameplay will mirror that of the most recent “Five Nights at Freddy’s” installment, “Security Breach,” being a first person horror experience. Certain factors of gameplay such as how one interacts with the environment will be changed if a player is playing using a VR headset.
The only known enemy of the game so far is a character named Jackie, though it is unknown if other threats will stalk the player through the game.
Though little is known about “Secret of the Mimic” so far, fans are excitedly awaiting the release of a new game to the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series.
